Natural Family Photographs
Many people now prefer an informal approach to family photography rather than more formal poses. When doing this kind of photography I aim to blend in, and after a while people stop reacting to the camera so much and carry on as if I wasn't there.
The resulting photographs are a great record of your family having fun and being together.

I would spend up to an hour with your family, rather than rush it, and go out into the garden, or to the local park or woods if possible.
If photographing children in a public place, please be aware that I am unable to include other people’s children without a parent’s permission. For indoor photography I make as much use as possible of the natural light available in a room, as well as some portable studio equipment.

All you need to do is turn up in comfortable clothes and with some fun things to do together.

If you prefer, I can come to your home with my portable studio and make the photographs there.
 

Family Photography Packages
This kind of 'reportage' photography does produce more images than the traditional portrait session, so to keep it affordable I usually supply the photographs on a CD, fully processed and ready to print. This leaves you free to print as many as you like, whatever size you like, and to email them to friends and family.
I can also supply prints as well if you prefer, individually prepared by me and printed in a top quality lab.

Premium Black & White Photography Service
Any of the photos can be supplied in black & white at no extra cost, please ask. However, I do also offer a premium service using genuine black & white film, printed by hand in my own darkroom - full details on the price list.

Family Occasions and Events
As well as families with children, I also take a similar approach to photographing adults, parties, anniversaries and weddings; any kind of social event where people mix and interact. Please contact me with the details for a quote.
