Landscape photography is one of the things I really enjoy for its own sake, and is a long-standing interest from before I took up photography professionally.

I tend to work close to home, in Britain and Ireland, rather than in exotic places; I feel it is easy overlook what surrounds us, instead of noticing and enjoying it.

The photographs on these pages cover a number of locations and styles.
The black & white are all shot on film and hand printed in my own darkroom.

The photography is 'straight', in that it is produced in the darkroom and not digitally manipulated, but I do use techniques such as flash, blur, grain, multiple exposures and a red or yellow filter to enhance the images.
