Traditonal portraits done the old fashioned way...
El Busta's Exhibition in Bristol in February/March
We are having an exhibition of a selection of the portraits we have made at various events over the last three years, along with running the 'Travelling Photography Studio' for a couple of days while it's on.
Visitors can come and have their portrait made in the old-fashioned way.
Exhibition: Saturday 22nd February to Thursday 20th March; Monday - Friday 10.30 - 6; Sat 11 - 5
Studio: Saturdays 22nd February and 15th March
Venue: Photographique, 27 Clare Street, Bristol, BS1 1XA
The exhibition is free - we make a small charge of £3 for the portraits we take, to cover our costs.
About El Busta's
In this hi-tech world there is still a fascination with traditional image-making processes, and the itinerant portrait photographer was once a popular visitor to city streets. Although a rarity on Bristish streets nowadays, the 'Minutero', or 'Minute Man', can still be found in Spain and Latin America. This pdf file gives a bit more information and a couple of links.
El Busta's Travelling Photography Studio is a photobooth which brings that magic to your event or function.
We use an old fashioned sheet film camera, a backdrop and a portable darkroom to make 'real' photos while you wait, taking only minutes to produce a hand made, one-off print.
We can also copy the prints photographically to make an online gallery too, if required, so that everyone can see the full album as well as have their own print to take away. See a sample gallery of El Busta's Travelling Photography Studio.
