Teaching in Further and Higher Education
I have nearly twenty years experience of teaching in a college setting, in both further and higher education contexts.
This includes writing, developing and leading both full time and part time coourses.

I am now freelance only, rather than employed, and can bring my teaching skills and experience to a variety of settings.
I am available as a visiting lecturer or to provide cover for holidays or sickness, for example.

Workshops in Schools and Community Groups
For a number of years I have been offering customised workshops in school and community settings.
I can teach a wide range of photography skills, from the darkroom to digital photography and image manipulation, with software such as Photoshop or Photoshop Elements.
I would work with you to design the workshop content and delivery, and where necessary offer advice on cameras and software.

Private Training
I also offer customised training on a 1:1 basis or with small groups, working closely with you to make sure your exact requirments are met.
My rates are competitive, and the more individual focus can make this cost effective compared to doing a course with larger groups.

Breadth and Depth
I am able to teach in most aspects of photography; digital photography and the associated software skills are much in demand these days, and I also have extensive film and darkroom experience.
Other workshops I can offer include how to photograph 2D and 3D artwork, and how to photograph items for sale on sites such as Ebay, using a home made 'studio' and everyday materials. Good quality photographs of the items are likely to fetch better sale prices.

I have been CRB checked for work with children and vulnerable adults; if your organisation requires an up-to-date check of its own I am happy to supply the necessary information.
